SN. 31092

Fat Sound guitars is offering this piece on behalf of one of our European clients.

The guitar is a beautiful example of a re-necked 1953 Les Paul from a cosmetic standpoint. It just exudes cool.

Re-Necked and re-finished by Gibson as part of the process in 1969. The Goldtop finish is just old enough to show the perfect level of patina and checking. If the guitar had not been re-necked I would assume the finish was original, but the work involved in separating original neck from body generally requires the body to be refinished due to the original finish being disrupted around the neck joint.

Fresh Mark Kane a.k.a "Fret King" refret with slightly taller than original wire (.103" x .046")

Plays perfect! Sounds phenomenal!

Once again Fat Sound has managed to find a new amp that is destined to have actual staying power in the market.

We have always avoided "fad amps" like the plague. This may make us seem almost boring at times, but you can believe that when we take on a new line it's because I personally believe there is something truly special and unique going on with it.

The Nolatone Tango 22 seems, on the surface, to be yet another dual 6V6 20+ watt amp....yada...yada.....yada; however, this amp has some of the most glorious clean tones I have ever heard.
It also has perfect pushed clean, edge of break up tones *and* is easily capable of searing gain. All of these tones are incredibly easy to dial up.

The amp's master volume is extremely effective, the bright switch adds just the right amount of shimmer when using the cleaner, more Fender-like settings and the Boost switch kicks this amp in to a perfect overdrive level with serious crunch, infinite sustain and excellent articulation.

It's a very special amp to play. It *feels* perfect, sounds phenomenal with any kind of guitar, looks spectacular and won't break the bank.

I give the Tango 22 my highest recommendation. If Dumble had built a single channel amp that aimed to cover all the tones he achieved with his two channel amps, he might very well have built the Tango.

It's magical!

Dual JJ 6V6 power tubes

Rear panel bias contact points for user adjustability.

LED Boost indicator with front panel switch as well as footswitch functions.

Single 12" Celestion G12H30

First Review from long-time Fat Sound customer and multi-high-end amp owner Michael A. of Blacksburg, VA........via email 11-7-2008:

"Stu,
the amp arrived today, lo and behold, and I just ran it through a quick workout with a Tele and a Les Paul.
A number of dual metaphors come to mind..."Beauty and the Beast", "The Power and the Glory", etc. Most dynamic amp I've played to date, I believe, in terms of digging in to get some grind and backing off for pristine, sparkly cleans. The overdrive tones are unbelievably chewy and lush.
I'll probably never have an OD pedal hooked up to this amp. In fact, with the boost footswitch, I might never have to use a pedal with this amp at all unless I needed some modulation, perhaps.
The "sag/firm" circuit is extremely effective and useful as well. Spectacular amp - thanks so much for turning me onto it!"

Thank *you* Mike for getting this new amp line off on the right foot!

**NEW*** Atomic Space Tone Mark 2 Head and 112

MSRP: $2498.00

Fat Price: $2498.00

The New Swart Is Here!!

Swart has become an iconic amp brand in just three short years. One of the reasons for this is that every amp Michael Swart has released has been absolutely incredible and absolutely unique.

The new Atomic Space Tone Mark 2 Head features all the goodness of the original AST 20 112 combo (one of our all time best sellers) in a head format with the addition of a fully defeatable, extremely effective Master Volume, Dual Speaker outs and a 4/8/16 Impedence selector.

Power section is now run by a pair of Tung-Sol 6V6's versus the JJ set previously used.

The result is a creamier, smoother gain tone at higher Volume control settings.

Same amazingly spatial reverb and mild-altering tremolo both of which can be defeated via the included footswitch.

The available, matching 112 cabinet is the perfect compliment for this amp and features the Mojo BV25 watt speaker. For a limited time, when you by the head and cab together you save $50.00 as reflected in teh price listed above.

What's Hot in Effects

'(Available) Robin Trower Signature Overdrive

MSRP: $249.00

Fat Price: $224.00

Status: In Stock
Thumbs: Click for larger versions
Man.....Mike Fuller and Robin hit it out of the park with this one. This is a truly dynamic overdrive pedal that is similarly responsive to my guitar's volume pot as nearly any high-end tube amp I have used.

Capable of incredible smooth, realistic, infinitely sustaining overdrive with a big, stringy low-end (lots of definition), but when you roll back the guitars volume a tad you get a reedy, honky tone that remains me of Warren Haynes' Govt. Mule tones.......and I'm talking about in to a nearly clean amplifier.

Roll back the guitar's volume a bit further and you get a snappy, percussive clean with a bit of musical compression.

A home run!
