Fat Sound's Take
From PWE's Website
The PWE Future6 was designed to bridge the gap between modern, focused humbucker tones and vintage single coil sounds. The two single cooils are mounted in the pickguard which allows for overtones that simply are not present when mounted straight into the body. On the other, hand the humbucker benefits from being mounted to th ebody for a tight, focused sound that cuts through and results in more articulation between the notes.

Owner's Comments
"Hi Ted (Ted Stevenson, owner of PWE),
Love the guitar. It’s so easy to play, I’m doing things now I’ve never been able to before. I play in a 3 piece band with a loud drummer, and it cuts through beautifully. The bridge humbucker seems to have a much wider sonic footprint than the Suhr SSV in my old G&L (that’s ½ a pound heavier,) and I’m still tweaking the overdrive channel a little to compensate, but it sounds really good even on the old settings.
For the next one, I’ll probably go with an even bigger neck"
