Fat Sound offers a fine selection of Gretsch® instruments. Legendary designs that, in our opinion, have never been better.

The addition of Gretsch® to our inventory was the result of Fat Sound's owner developing a severe case of Gear Acquisition Syndrome for a Jaguar Tan 6118 125th Anniversary Model; an affliction which was brought on immediately upon playing the personal 6118 of our Fender® Sale Rep!

In typical Fat Sound fashion, our Gretsch® customers will not merely receive their new guitar as it came from the factory. Our extremely talented in-house luthier, Mark Kane, has developed numerous tricks of his trade that allow the Bigsby® Tremolo tailpieces to be tweaked for dramatically improved tuning stability.

Also available, at the customer's request and for no additional charge, is a service whereby the bridge is pinned in-place for improved intonation stability. This service is available for all models where a pinned bridge is not already part of the guitar's spec's.

This recent Gretsch® release is the Japanese version of the $20,000.00 Gretsch® Master Built, George Harrison Tribute guitar. The Tribute version was meticulously recreated by Gretsch® master builder Stephen Stern and his crew from the original guitar owned by George and played during his early- and post-Beatles career. Other than country of origin and Urethan versus lacquer finish, this new model shares nearly identical spec's with its American counterpart. From Gretsch® Gretsch celebrates the legacy of George Harrison with the G6128T-GH George Harrison SIGNATURE Duo Jet® guitar, modeled on the instrument that the legendary guitarist often referred to as his “first real decent guitar.” Features include distinctive appointments and modifications found on Harrison’s original 1957 Gretsch Duo Jet, which he purchased secondhand in the very early 1960s. These include a lightweight mid-’50s-style chambered body, all-BLACK color scheme (arched maple top, mahogany back and sides, and back of the one-piece mahogany neck), Bigsby® B3C tailpiece with a black Phillips head tremolo arm pivot bolt, and an offset strap button on lower bout.
