About Don's new color process: Yes, Don Grosh guitars are still finished in nitrocelluose (NC) lacquer, but Don recently came up with a new Black Base Coat technique that has opened a whole new door on color possibilities. As seen in the finish of this guitar, this new process creates an extremely deep, lustrous finish that has an incredible richness and dimension to it. The color shifts subtly with movement giving it one of the richest looks I have ever seen on a guitar finish.

Folks who do business with me on a regular basis know that my "Highly Recommended" tag isn't marketing; it specifically means that we are talking about a piece I would buy for myself.

I don't have a rating higher than that, but this guitar almost warrants the creation of a new, higher designation.

It's that time again.  And by that, I mean it's time for me to gush and go on and on about how wonderful (nay, astounding!) my latest guitar from you guys is!  Mike Ayers over at Fat Sound called me up and told me that my H/S/S Industrial Blue Electrajet Standard was in, and boy was it a looker!  I jumped in the car, headed over that way, and not only was she a looker, but she had the sound to back it up!  We plugged it into the new Matchless amp (the Avalon), which I also just ordered from Stu, and it was a match made in heaven.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to get rid of my old Strat now, as it has been superseded!
