Campbell American
These guitars seemingly came out of nowhere and instantly became hot, hot, hot!!! Especially catching on in the Nashville scene due to Gruhn Guitar's Billy Jackson personally owning and playing three Transitones and talking them up among his friends and customers.
Campbell American guitars are hand-built and highly customizable via a huge array of pickup brands and styles, tailpieces, tuners, colors, etc.....
Owner, designer, builder Dean Campbell of Guild guitar fame is responsible for these amazing guitars and has come up with something truly unique and phenomenal sounding!
The Transitone model is lightweight, comfortable, buttery playing and has absolutely enormous tones with bloom and sustain that immediately catch air and just keep on going.
Stand out from the crowd with an instrument that's got a little different look going and that sounds as good as anything you'll ever play.
We have several Transitone models on order in various configurations, but these are fun to spec' out for the individual and the lead time is very reasonable so feel free to call us toll free at 888-FAT-SOUND (328-7686) to spec' one out for yourself.
Thanks to Billy Jackson at Gruhn's Guitars for turning us on to these amazing instruments!
"This is a guitar you do not want to put down. It has the feel of not so much an expensive sports car as that of a flying saucer. It almost plays itself. Honestly, I can’t remember being this taken by a first play since the first time I played a really right Les Paul through a 100 watt Marshall. But this is a completely different trip. The Transitone is cool, calm, and collected, as subtle as it is beautiful."

Transitone model in Surf Green Nitrocellulose Lacquer over Honduran Mahogany body with Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAF pickups neck and middle and Gotoh hardtail, string through bridge. Perfect neck carve and impreccable fretwork. Owner's Comments"Hey Stu, I've given the guitar about a month now, and I have to be honest: every day it sounds better and better! That's saying a lot considering that, when I first heard/played it, I decided to buy it on the spot! In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't let the guitar slip away, as it's one of the most playable, inspiring humbucker-based guitars I've ever laid hands on. As you know, I've always had issues with humbucker-equipped guitars, as they always sound a bit muddy to me in my hands (though they sound great when other people play them). With this guitar, I'm able to get all of the authority and grind that I love about classic humbucker tones, but with the clarity and articulation I love about single coils! It's really quite amazing. Even my wife has commented on how good it sounds when I'm just noodling around the house! Even better are the tones I get when playing with the band at full volume -- again, this guitar screams like any good humbucker-based guitar should, but it cleans up so well with a quick roll-down of the volume knob that I find myself not needing to use the clean channel on my amps. I'm not sure how much of this is due to the Dimarzio 36th Anniversary pickups, but either way the tones I get are killer! As for the feel, I've never felt (let alone owned) such a resonant, lively guitar. The body contours, while making for an interesting shape (which I happen to love), also make this guitar one of the most comfortable to play, sitting *or* standing. For the icing on the cake, this thing sustains perfectly, begging me to keep playing long after I would on a less inspiring guitar. Long story short, you've knocked it out of the park again by picking up this line of guitars! Thanks to you (and Mike Ayers) again for all of your help with the purchase! Keep it up!" Brian S.
