Squier® Mini 3/4 by Fender®
The Squire® Mini by Fender® is the perfect 3/4 size electric guitar with which to start your youngster playing guitar. This is the same guitar with which both of my kids began playing guitar.
As with every guitar we sell we do a complete setup on this guitar including readjustment for a different string gauge from factory spec' that we've found to work much better with this shorter scale length while keeping playability easy for little fingers.

Electric guitars are generally easier to learn on than acoustics because the string height is lower and the string gauge is thinner versus those found on acoustic guitars. As an added bonus, most practice amplifiers come with headphone jacks for silent practicing!
