Lizard Leg
Lizard Leg Effects is a small, family owned, custom pedal manufacturer in Gonzales, LA. All of their pedals are built by hand, one at a time, as they are ordered, All of the circuit work, soldering, builds and designs are done by Lizard Leg designer and owner Steve while Steve's wife, Brandi, does all of the graphics on the pedals. Their son, John, helps out with packaging the pedals which explains the tiny, plastic lizard toy that comes with each pedal!
LLE started by demand after Hurricane Katrina when Steve was looking to replace the gear he had lost. He was shopping for a pedal, but just couldn't find exactly what he wanted. Electronics had been a hobby of Steve's for longer than guitar so the two finally interests finally came together and the first LLE pedal was designed and built. A few friends heard the first Lizard Leg pedal and asked Steve to build one for them, and then a few more. And then a few more. One day Steve's phone started ringing non-stop as the quality of his pedals had spread via word of mouth and the rest is history.
Fat Sound welcomes Lizard Leg pedals as some of the most innovative and organic sounding overdrive pedals we've heard and would like to thank long-time client and friend Jeff R. in Colorado for encouraging us to give them a try after the Draconis pedal solved his search for the perfect overdrive tone to go witht the cleans of his Port City Twelve amplifier.

The Draconis Dual Boost
The Draconis Dual Boost pedal takes an award winning pedal, the Flying Dragon, and provides the player with twice the boost. No matter the specific needs, the Draconis allows the player a fully customizable boost option that we would like to think will set the standard in this category.
Imagine taking an already fully transparent boost and adding a second boost channel and then mix in a switchable effects loop! The Draconis allows players to dial in 2 different boost levels. The player can now focus on the playing and less on adjusting boost levels while playing. Set one channel low on the dial to give the amp a little oomph during the chorus. Set the second channel hot for a searing lead boost. Set both channels hot and really give them something to talk about!
And the best part about it...the effects loop addition allows you to place other effects in between the channels for even greater flexibility and versatility.
Whatever the scenario calls for, The Draconis will provide unlimited boost combinations that any player will find redeeming.
What you put in is exactly what you get out.... only a heck of a lot more!

Fat Sound's Take
Based on an extensive shootout of the 10 Boost style units that we stock:
Slightly scooped in the upper mids, but otherwise very balanced. Excellent for rhythm or lead work. Very quiet operation. Not as loud as others. Adds
very light compression.
Your Sound...Just More. This really is what the Flying Dragon delivers. Created to be as transparent as possible, the Dragon was designed to replicate the sound of just turning your amp up.
Put simply, the 'Dragon is a single stage, broad frequency boost that doesn't alter your sound or your tone. 100% transparent but still has the Magic Mojo to add that extra "oomph" to your sound. The Dragon doesn't boost your highs, notch your mids, or turn your lows into a muddy mess. What you put in is what you get out - just More. Period.
The Dragon is so transparent and clean that it works equally well with acoustic/electrics, mandolins, dobros, and lap steels - even keyboards. If it has strings, the Dragon works with it.
The Dragon interacts with your amp dynamically - think of it as an external gain stage. If your amp is set clean, with a lot of headroom left, then you can expect a straight up volume boost from the Dragon that doesn't color or alter your tone. If your amp is set on the edge of breakup with a little grit already on the sound, then the Dragon will push you over the edge into a sweet, natural overdrive that comes from the amp itself.
