True Bucket Brigade delay that has the tone and options to cover any style, any use and any player. The Panther Delay is our most anticipated pedal to date with it’s ground breaker feature set including “tap tempo control” that lives within one “full second of delay time”. The foot-switchable “effects loop” allows you to place any effect or effects that you want on the repeats only. Another option is the four section “ratio control” to give you quarter, dotted eighth, eighth and triplet divisions. The built in “modulation” gives you shimmery Deluxe Memory Man type vibe and can work with tap enabled. The Panther is the first to do this! Our “chirp switch” gives you two flavors of analog: one is bright and chirpy like the vintage Boss DM-2 or Way Huge AP-1 while the other is darker and more in the background. As the user you have the ability to program an “expression control” to your favorite knob to use on the fly with no bending down required! The “Tap IN/OUT” jack lets you remotely tap in a tempo or slave another tap device for amazing live flexibility. All this and more is powered by a standard 9v supply, not a crazy hard to power voltage.

There’s a lot of hype out there these days with overdrive pedals and the last thing we want to do is to add to the noise.

As you may already know, almost every boutique overdrive on the market is a modified Tubescreamer of some sort, we have decided to take a different approach.

The Morning Glory is a very transparent tone-shaping tool that is the result of several years of building, gigging, tweaking and improving on the original Marshal Bluesbreaker design. We improved vastly on the BB while maintaining what made it a great pedal in the first place. It now has 5X more headroom! 2X the available gain and a more useful tone control. The new “Bright Cut” toggle allows the perfect level of EQ for your rig.

You will notice immediately how touch sensitive and dynamic the feel of this pedal is. The frequencies are perfectly balanced and the tone knob reacts as a high frequency roll off. The drive allows you a huge range of tones from “little wing-ish” chime to classic rock era bite. Compression is the one effect that can make the difference between sounding polished and professional or just normal and part of the crowd. Most people discover that “studio” quality sound in their rigs for the first time when they add a good quality compressor. Our Pulp n Peel compressor is the perfect tool for adding dynamics, flavor and sustain no matter what rig you play. 

As you may have guessed by our suave design, we based this comp off of a certain vintage design made famous back in the day. Most compressors you see are based off of the Ross/MXR design that yield a very squashed and almost heavy feel. The Pulp n Peel is not. With the PnP you will find that your guitars natural color and attack stay in place instead of being forced under a hard and un-transparent squash. Another advantage is its low noise floor and super headroom that allows it to be used as a boost in front of or behind your favorite overdrive/distortion or fuzz. The JHS Doube Barrell's fantastic, natural tones and excellent versatility make this one of our best selling overdrive pedals of all time. The two channels are voiced perfectly from both a tone and gain standpoint to work individually or together.

One thing to note: Strangely, the Double Barrel which consists of a whopping 6 knobs and two mini toggles has none of its controls labled nor does JHS currently provide an owner's manual so.......you either have to play around around with the pedal to figure out exactly what everything does or print out this listing where we have included the functions for each control below. There is also a deo video available via teh YouTube link above, but this is a slightly outdated version which is lacking the current model's bright switch:

General Layout

• Right Side with Green LED is JHS's modified TS-808 style Overdrive
• Left Sight with Yellow LED is JHS's popular Morning Glory Overdrive
• Center Mini Toggle - allows the user to have control over whiich of these independant overdrive units is first in the signal path. Very useful for changing things up when you are stackig the two units by running them both at the same time.
  Stacking Toggle set to its Left position send the Morning Gory into the TS-808 just as if you had these two pedals on your board with the Morning Glory first in the chain and the TS-808 second.
  Stacking Toggle set to its right positions sends the TS-808 into the Morning Glory replicating having these two pedals on your board with the TS-808 before the Morning Glory in your pedal order / signal chain. Cool Huh?!
  And remember, both pedals that JHS has combined into the signle housing can always be used indepenedently when desired.

Controls

Potentiometers / Knobs

The 3 primary controls for each of the two seperate, built-in overdrive pedals of the Double Barrel are ganged for each channel and provide each overdrive unit with the standard Volume, Gain and Tone controls

• Right Triangle Knob Gang - TS-808 side's Volume, Gain, Tone
• Left Triangle Knob Gang - Morning Glory side's Volume, Gain, Tone

Mini Toggles

• Center - Stacking Select. Allows the user to choose whether the TS-808 circuit runs before the Morning Glory circuit or vice versa for tremendous added gain structure options.
• Far Right with TS-808 knob grouping - Bright switch for the TS-808 circuit
• Far Left with Morning Glory knob grouping - Bright switch for the Morning Glory ircuit

The Double Barrel is for the player who needs a versatile transparent overdrive at medium and light gain levels. You won’t find face melting distortion here but you will find overdrive with the character and stacking abilities to cover most any tonal need.

The left side is our TS808 replica with improvements like a more usable tone control, more focused lows, better presence and warmer clipping. The right side is our own Morning Glory. Transparent, discreet and open are what lurk inside this circuit.

When these two circuits are stacked, something magic happens. Tones that are original and fresh come with ease as well as added flexibility due to the “order switching” toggle that lets you decide what pedal comes first.

We are convinced that this is one of the greatest 2-in-1 pedals ever made... Seriously.

This may be the greatest weapon you didn’t know you needed.

For those of us who are a little “pedal happy” there can be some degradation to our tone. When running a pedal board with more than one or two effects pedals something called “capacitance” happens. This natural problem happens due to the amount of cable or line that you signal has to travel through, not to mention bad switching systems in certain pedals. The result is a very audible amount of high-end loss, weak signal, flabby bass and uncharacteristic pickup behavior in guitars. Another problem is the assumption that all “true bypass” is good. This isn’t true and actually can be worse than imagined.

This is were the “Little Black Buffer” steps in providing the perfect input impedance to your rig and giving you the final result of clear, natural tone that sounds like your plugged straight into your amp no matter how many pedals you use.

Plug your guitar straight into the input then out into your pedal chain. No need for a switch and it runs on any standard 9v supply.

"Broad Range Booster"

With just a volume and range knob, you will be amazed by sounds from this one pedal. Paired with any tube amp, you have at your feet one of the most versatile tone shaping tools available.

The volume knob gives you more than enough headroom to easily drive you amp into natural breakup but the range knob is where the magic is found. When turned to the left 50% you have Rangemaster/Treble Booster tones and to the right 50% you have full range boost tones in the ranks of a LPB-1 power booster. The placement of this pedal can yield vastly different results. When ran after your overdrive or fuzz it projects exactly what it hears and sends it soaring above the mix. If you run it before your dirt boxes you can force them into rich harmonic saturation that will cause a permanent smile on your face. Either way you choose, the result is a booster that does its job so well you may never turn it off.
