Angry's fantastic, early 70's Silicon Fuzz Face derivative. Hand-Wired by Seriously Cool Folks in New England!

This is a very reasonably priced fuzz pedal considering the amazing array of tones it's capable of delivering. If your picking hand fuzz technique is dialed-in, you'll find it extremely easy to go from primitive, early germanium fuzz pedal chop and explosiveness to very smooth, round and sustaining fluidity.

The BC108 Silicon Transistor set is the same as used in Gilmour's Fuzz Face starting around 1971 and can be heard on such iconic Dark Side Of The Moon tunes as Time and Money. The BC108 driven Fuzz face remained in David's arsenal and was relied on heavily until the mid-70's when he switched camps and began using Big Muffs and ultimately the wonderful Muff Mods of Pete Cornish.

The widely accepted school of thought is that the intro to Eric Johnson's Cliff's of Dover was recorded with the BC183 Silicon driven Fuzz Face that he was known to lean on quite heavily throughout the 90's. The style and tone of fuzz generated by the BC108 is almost identical to the BC183 transistors and we proved this out by running a shop favorite Strat through the Angry Angus and into a Dr Z Z Wreck where we found that short lived, but momentous "violin tone" that introduces Eric's most recognizable piece of music.

The Angry Angus Fuzz sounds fantastic, will allow you, with proper fuzz-pedal-control-technique to cop some of the most desirable, even iconic tones in the history of recorded rock-n-roll, is beautifully built, wrapped in a very sweet powder coated box and is priced well below the comparable competition.
