This speaker was sent to me by Xits X10 Extension Cab via ASW to try in my X10 combo, but I quickly went back to my preferred Celestion Blue.

The speaker is in 100% as new condition with very minimal play time

These are Rola era, Ipswich England, bass cone G12-M speakers in perfect working order. Not as sought after as the Pre-Rola Greenbacks, but an awesome speaker nonetheless and despite their "bass cone, 55Hz rating, sound fantastic for guitar.

"These are from May 11th 1977 according to date codes.  The Blackback Celestions G12M Bass cones are fairly dark sounding according to Ken Fishers article in VG and reprinted in the  2nd Gerald Weber book. While I've had no experience with the G12M 55HZ I did own a nice set of G12H Blackback Bass cones that I bought at Fat Sound in '95.  Completely different speaker but they sounded great.

My experience with old speakers is they all sound a bit different from each other even when comparing the same model.

These will most likely be darker than a new reissue GB. I know my Pre-Rola Bass cone G12M's are darker. The Blackbacks used a Kurt Mueller cone where the Pre-Rola's used a Pulsonic cone.  

If these are dark sounding it seems the EQ of the amp would compensate. These would probably not be the best with a Classic 45 but fine with a Club 40 or Lead 55."

One of our all time favorite 212 cabs, the Z Best 2x12" comes loaded with one Celestion Vintage 30 and one Celestion G12H30. It's a closed back, front ported design that has a slightly dark and thick tonality.

A Fat Sound reference cabinet for over 10 years.

This one was locally owned and has one mark on the bottom ledge and one mark on one of the protective corners which we've shown in the photos above, but is otherwise in perfect condition.

As with all Dr Z 212 cabs, this cabinet has feet on two sides so it can be used either vertically or horizontally.

We had these cabinets made to match the PRS/Sewell Sweet 16 head perfectly. The tolexes are identical and the sonic combination is the best we have heard yet.

Daniel Klein's standard Oversized 112 speaker cab with internal Wave Technology covered in black and white tolex with Celestion Vintage 30.

The Port City 112 Oversized, "Wave" technology cabinet is our reference 112 cabinet.

It just works flawlessly with every amp/guitar combination we have tried.

Nice touches such as the recessed, top mounted, metal handle and recessed chrome Port City logo make this cab both functional and attractive.

It's also wide enough that most heads will fit on top of it perfectly.

What really makes this cab work though is an internal construction technique that eliminates standing waves in the cabinet. This makes the cab bigger sounding than it is, smooths out any unwanted harshness or fatiguing frequencies in the upper midrange and, in general, give the cabinet a larger presence.

The standard speaker is a Celestion Vintage 30 at 8 Ohms which works very well because when used with this cab you get the advantages of the V30 which are: a 30 watt break up point for nice speaker interaction, 65 watts of handling ability and none of the upper mid issues this speaker has a reputation for; the Wave technology eliminates that problem completely
