With all of the new amps on the market today it is always exciting, though increasingly rare, to discover an impressive new amp line that actually offers something truly unique. Jamie Scott's 'Dream Series posses our favorite combination of striking cosmetics, thoughtful and innovative technology and, most importantly, a versatile palette of fantastic tones that are extremely easy to dial-in, cover a very nice range of either British tones in the case of the British Dream model or Classic American tones via the American Dream model. And each 'Dream model is essentially two classic amps in one:

3RD POWER's heavy-duty, excellent A/B switcher allows easy access to each amps' dual channels while defeating the volume of the channel not in use thereby eliminating any signal noise from the channel that is inactive.
During extensive play testing with a wide variety of our favorite guitars, the pieces we are intimately familiar with and have run through hundreds of different vintage and modern boutique amplifiers, we were struck by the versatile range of exceptional tones available via the two channels of each 'Dream series amplifier. Using 3RD POWERS A/B switcher to jump back and forth between the two channels of the British Dream or the American Dream was akin to instantly switching between two separate, but equally fantastic amplifiers.
Also impressive was the extremely low signal-to-noise ratio. Even with the '68 Plexi side of the British Dream cranked into some very nice gain levels at higher, club volumes the gain and top end noise was virtually non-existent.
The number of technological developments presented by 3RD POWER....that actually work...is very impressive! if you're a techno type you'll love this stuff. As with all of Jamie Scott's 3rd Power Amplifiers, the American Dream is one of the most amazingly well thought out, simply fantastic amplifier we have ever experienced. There is so much innovative design throughout the American Dream The most important thing, of course, is how this amplifier sounds. First of all, while many guitarists search for a dual channel amp that delivers wonderful, mid-60's American tones on one channel and either 60's vintage British tones or modified British tones on the other, Jamie, understanding the need for different power tubes, transformer spec's, internal voltages, tone stacks, etc......to even get close to realizing the American and British in one amp concept, has wisely gone a different direction with his Dream Series. In the Case of the American Dream, 3rd Power offers fantastic, early-60's American brownface tones on CH1 and mid-60's American blackface tones on CH2.
